Basic Photography

Produce better photographs by learning basic techniques. For beginning photographers with fully adjustable (focus, shutter, aperture) 35mm cameras. Digital camera is acceptable as long as it has manual control f-stop and shutter speed. Digital SLR's are preferred.

(This class is not suitable for point-and-shoot cameras.)

Topics include camera handling, color film selection, use of aperture and shutter, exposure measurement, basic filter usage, getting good color prints, composition, and photographing people and places. You will complete weekly color assignments and share your work with the class. No darkroom work is involved.

Bring your camera and manual to the first class.

All materials provided, no book/material purchase required. (Class limited to 12 students.)
