Learn the fundamentals to build a successful career as a supervisor.

This course is ideal for those with little or no supervisory experience, and is designed to assist with the transition from non-management to entry level management assignments.

The class prepares students to perform the duties and tasks of a supervisor effectively and professionally. During this class, students learn basic supervisory principles, communication, coaching, leadership, goal setting, discipline, motivation, performance evaluation, change, team building, problem solving and more. Students also learn to create effective action plans for achieving organizational goals.

This class explores the role of a supervisor as an employee of the organization and as a work group leader. Students will be introduced to a professional supervisory style that is effective in leading a group of people. Participants will also receive instruction on the dynamics of workgroups, keeping the group operating at high levels of performance, including participation and delegation.

All books and materials are included.
