This one-day, instructor-led class engages participants in what they need to know to successfully implement and evaluate organizational strategies to accomplish the organization’s mission, vision, goals and objectives and achieve higher levels of customer satisfaction and organizational performance. Participants explore the critical and important practice of strategic management in guiding an organization in a specific direction. Implementation and evaluation are the action oriented and monitoring aspects of the overall strategic management process and are the focus of this class. Participants explore how to make strategic implementation and evaluation effective in aligning the organization with its new direction and employing various synergies and functional tactics to accomplish this work. The elements of implementation and evaluation are examined by participants to understand the potential results of this critical part of the strategic management process.

Class topics include:

• Strategic management as a process for all types of organizations at all stages of development.
• Elements, clarification and communication of vision, mission and goals of the strategic plan for application in strategic implementation and evaluation.
• Cascading from strategic planning to strategic actions to desired results through implementation and evaluation.
• Aligning the organization’s operations for effective implementation.
• Implementation options, including mergers and acquisitions, and organizational synergies to achieve desired strategic results.
• Establishing accountabilities for effective implementation through effective communication and empowering personnel.
• Evaluation and control of the implementation and corrective action to ensure on-track performance.
